Construction of Mini CPO Plant Nears Completion
Jakarta, Induk KUD – The construction of the Mini CPO (Crude Palm Oil) Plant in Jambi has entered its final stages. This Mini CPO Plant is the result of a collaboration between Induk KUD and Controlnet Inc, a private company from Taiwan specializing in industrial technology, along with Pusat KUD Jambi to build a Mini CPO Plant with a capacity of 5 tons per hour in Muaro-Jambi.
As known, the development of the Mini CPO Plant in Jambi is the fruit of the hard work of the Management Board and Directors of Induk KUD in developing businesses, particularly partnerships with foreign investors. Among the various collaborations that have been signed, the construction of the Mini CPO Plant in Jambi is one of the agreements that have been rapidly realized. This achievement is attributed to the serious and dedicated efforts of the Management Board and Directors of Induk KUD in implementing the signed business cooperation agreements.
To keep track of the latest developments in the construction of the Mini CPO Plant in Jambi, the Chairman of Induk KUD, Herman YL Wutun, accompanied by the CEO, Portasius Nggedi, visited the Mini CPO Plant from November 16 to 18, 2018, to see the progress firsthand.
Upon returning from Jambi, the CEO of Induk KUD, Portasius Nggedi, explained that the construction of the Mini CPO Plant and its supporting facilities is nearing completion. “The progress has reached 95% and is now in the finishing stage.” “All the machinery for the Mini CPO Plant has arrived in Jambi via Palembang,” said Portasius Nggedi. “Not only the machinery for the Mini CPO Plant, but also the machinery for the 0.5 MW Biomass Power Plant has arrived, delivered together as a package,” added Portasius Nggedi.
In addition to the construction of the Mini CPO Plant, a 0.5 MW Biomass Power Plant will also be built on the same site, using waste from the Mini CPO Plant as its raw material. “The installation and setting up of the Mini CPO Plant machinery are still ongoing,” said Portasius Nggedi. “The 0.5 MW Biomass Power Plant machinery is also being installed and set up.” “We hope that by early January 2019, both the Mini CPO Plant and the Biomass Power Plant can begin trial runs, which will be done simultaneously before full commercial operation,” he added.
The development of the 5 tons per hour Mini CPO Plant and the 0.5 MW Biomass Power Plant is not only oriented towards business but also aims to accommodate palm oil production from the lands of smallholder palm oil plantations, most of whom are members of KUD and cannot be accommodated by larger corporate plantations with their own estates. Additionally, this effort is Induk KUD’s way of assisting the government in reducing regional disparities and promoting economic growth.
“Please pray for everything to go smoothly and according to schedule.” “If everything goes well, Induk KUD plans to build Mini CPO Plants in Tukak Sadai Sub-district, South Bangka Regency, North Sumatra, Southeast Sulawesi, and West Sulawesi,” concluded Portasius Nggedi. (TAB)
