In the collaboration with the Induk KUD, the role of Duke Capital is to raise more funds through the model of Impact Investing, in order to bolster investment in the various smart agro-based projects in Indonesia. At the same time, Duke Capital will also consolidate experts from diverse backgrounds, technology and financial channels, to assist the members of Induk KUD and also smallholders in other villages.
We help to identify and support investment opportunities that can boost and improve the livelihoods of farmers and fishermen, and later can reduce poverty. We also empower women to invent sustainable crops and agricultural products.
The Duke Agribusiness Fund was established to support the National Federation of Rural Co-operative (Induk KUD) to build agro-ecology that connects ten focus sectors, which consists of, cassava growing, Tapioka starch processing industry and aquaculture in Bangka Island, boatbuilding and fisheries and seafood processing industry in North Maluku, palm oil & biomass power plants in Sumatra, as well as poultry farming in Central Java.
Other sectors include the introduction of new technology to improve the efficiency of supply chain management, transparent e-commerce, banking and finance, big data analysis, logistics and the development of industrial township, to promote “Precision Poverty Alleviation”, to achieve the optimum asset allocation results in “Agriculture & Industry 4.0”.
WinTrust Asia Pacific is an international trustee institution established in Singapore under the license granted by monetary Authority of Singapore. Whilst, the Duke Agribusiness Fund is a private equity fund established through the audit of this international trustee, with the objective of raising USD60 million in its first private equity fund for the first phrase of various development projects of the Induk KUD. We are convinced that through providing a tangible investment platform and opportunities, we shall bring positive development to the sustainable agricultural development projects of the Induk KUD as well as Indonesia.
